KMC announced vaccine help for elderly and bedridden people at Home | The municipality will give great benefits in vaccinating the elderly and bedridden! Announcement of Firhad Hakim …– News18 Bangla

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

#Kolkata: The Calcutta Municipality (KMC) has taken humanitarian initiatives for the city’s senior citizens. From now on, sick, bedridden, people over the age of eighty will be vaccinated at home. This was announced by Firhad Hakim, Chief Administrator of Kolkata Municipality on Saturday’s ‘Talk to KMC’ program.

Coronation infection is not under control in the state due to strict restrictions. However, in order to prevent corona, the Kolkata Municipality has also insisted on vaccination as well as abiding by the rules. But in many cases, the elderly and the bedridden or the sick are not able to get the vaccine (Kolkata Covid-19 Vaccination) at the municipal immunization center. Even on the ‘Talk to KMC’ program, many senior citizens have called and informed about this problem. That is why the Calcutta Municipality has taken this program in consultation with the State Health Department. On the same day, Firhad Hakim said that only those who are above 60 years of age will be vaccinated against corona at home. In addition, those who are bedridden and sick above the age of 60 will also be vaccinated by the municipal staff at their homes. Each of them will be vaccinated as a ‘special case’.

However, there are several rules in this program. On the same day, Firhad said that in case of vaccination of those above 80 years of age or those in bed, all the adults in the household should be vaccinated beforehand. Then the person who needs to be vaccinated should go to the immunization center of the municipality and take the xerox and original of his Aadhaar card. And in case of sick or bedridden people above 60 years of age, they have to submit a certificate from the doctor.

However, the vaccine will not be available immediately after registering at the vaccination center. The staff of the municipality will leave the phone number, then they will come and call at the specified time. “It’s not a door-to-door vaccine, it’s a humanitarian effort by the Kolkata Municipality for the sick, bedridden, and the elderly,” Firhad said on Talk to KMC. The measures have been taken in consultation with the state health secretary. ”

Big Bang Theory: Jim Parsons And Mayim Bialik Never Became Friends Off-Screen

Big

‘The Big Bang Theory’ star Mayim Bialik revealed a shocking secret as to why she and Jim Parsons work so well as actor-partners and as producing partners. The key to their wonderful chemistry is contrary to what you imagine.

The Big Bang Theory’ called it curtains in 2019 but the craze or the sitcom hasn’t died down. The credit goes to the talented ensemble cast who created magic on screen. Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik, in particular, were spectacular in playing geek couple, making “Shamy” a worldwide phenomenon. It wouldn’t be too far-fetched to say that the couple surprised the world with each romantic milestone they reached.

Highlights

  • Romantic milestones that Sheldon and Amy touched on ‘The Big Bang Theory’
  • Mayim Bialik and Jim Parsons: The secret recipe of pitch-perfect relationship
  • It wasn’t hard for Mayim Bialik and Jim Parsons to say goodbye to TBBT

ROMANTIC MILESTONES THAT SHELDON AND AMY TOUCHED ON ‘THE BIG BANG THEORY’

At the end of the third season, Sheldon begrudgingly agreed to go on a blind date at the behest of Raj and Howard. It was when Sheldon and Amy first laid their eyes on each other and before you imagine some conventional romance, Amy laid down conditions like “no physical contact” clause etc. And guess what, Sheldon was visibly impressed and the rest is history.

When Penny chauffeured and supervised their first date, they ended up deciding to take their relationship to the next level and gift the universe a genius progeny. And then from the first hand-holding moment to the swoon-worthy romantic kiss in the train just on Valentine’s Day, to finally engaging in Coitus and getting married, every moment they created on screen made fans curious about their off-screen chemistry.

Shocking revelation! Mayim Bialik and Jim Parsons were never cheesy and mushy friends
Shocking revelation! Mayim Bialik and Jim Parsons were never cheesy and mushy friends

MAYIM BIALIK AND JIM PARSON: THE SECRET RECIPE OF PITCH-PERFECT RELATIONSHIP

Bialik recently told US Weekly,

“Jim and I had a lot of nice moments together on set and I think one of the things that worked so well for us as actor partners, and maybe as producing partners too, is that we’re not overly sentimental as humans, which I think is helpful. It was helpful in our acting and also in the way we kind of processed ending a decade together”.

It was difficult for every cast member to leave ‘The Big Bang Theory’ behind but Bialik and Parsons navigated the farewell moment much more smoothly than some of their co-stars.

IT WASN’T HARD FOR MAYIM BIALIK AND JIM PARSONS TO SAY GOODBYE TO TBBT

Amy confessed,

“So we were not an overly sentimental couple, but obviously it was very emotional filming our last scene”.

The last scene where we see Amy and Sheldon together is when they return to their friends after receiving their Nobel Prize awards. They were seen hanging out with friends that meant so much to them.

While all the cast and crew have moved on to different ventures, for Bialik and Parsons, it wasn’t a goodbye for long. Jim Parsons joined Bialik as a production partner on the new series, ‘Call Me Kat’.

Bialik feels fortunate to be working with her ex co-star again and finds him amazing. In fact, she would like to work with some other past co-stars of hers if she gets the opportunity.

Let us know what you think about Mayim Bialik and Jim Parsons’ off-screen chemistry in the comments box below.

Kunal Ghosh attacks Suvendu Adhikari || Trinamool retaliates against Shuvendu’s sarcasm

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

#Kolkata: Kolkata Waterlogged when it rains a little. Many complain about this. The last two days of continuous rains have caused waterlogging in many parts of the city from north to south. However, due to the activities of the municipality (KMC), the water level in several areas has gone down. But there is still water scattered in a few places. This time, the ruling party (TMC) was ridiculed by BJP MLA and Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari. Shuvendu said, ‘Kolkata was supposed to become London. Ordinary people see the deplorable condition of water only when it rains a little.

In the election campaign, other leaders of the BJP, starting from the Prime Minister, promised before the vote that Kolkata would be made an ideal metropolis. But despite that, the citizens of the city have confidence in the Trinamool Congress. The fruits of which are being suffered ‘. According to Shuvendu Adhikari, the people of Bengal later saw the Ganges at the door. And now you see the water of the sewer at the door. It is in this language that Shuvendu mocked the ruling party and the government over the city’s water woes. In this context, the Trinamool has counter-attacked Shuvendu. Kunal Ghosh, one of the general secretaries of the organization, gave a scathing reply to Shuvendu about the ‘sewer water project at the door’.

Kunal Ghosh said, ‘His mind is a sewer. Those who have a sewer in their mouth and a sewer in their mind cannot say anything outside of it. If you don’t change your eyes, the sewer of your mind will come out. ‘ However, Kunal Ghosh did not stop there. Kunal added by stabbing Shuvendu, “The vulture’s eyes are always on the run.” Kunal Ghosh blamed Shuvendu for the water logging in Kolkata. His question is that one of the reasons for the accumulation of water in the city is that the canal has not been repaired. He was the Minister of Irrigation for a long time, why he did not take initiative in canal reform? Who forbade the canal to be repaired? Why this dilapidated condition of Kolkata canals? Shuvendu Adhikari has to give his answer.

Plans to Run Marathon to encourage athletes in Olympic | Dilip Ghosh’s ‘big event’ to encourage Olympic athletes! Water in the plan? – News18 Bangla

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

#Kolkata: The Tokyo Olympics 2020 is underway. There, Indian athletes have joined the fight to win medals for the country. And to encourage those athletes, BJP state president Dilip Ghosh had planned to run a ‘marathon’ in Kolkata. But the BJP’s hopes were dashed by the Kolkata Police.

The BJP had planned to run the ‘marathon’ on Sunday. Despite the name ‘marathon’, the BJP had planned to run a little more than 4 km from Shyambazar to Dharmatala. And their main goal was to encourage Indian athletes through this race. But before implementing the plan, the administration prevented it. The plan to hold the marathon in Corona was practically thwarted by the Kolkata police.

Prakash Das and Govinda Roy, two general secretaries of the Youth Morcha, were given the task of carrying out this plan. Besides, Union Water Resources Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was also scheduled to take part in the marathon. BJP state president Dilip Ghosh was also supposed to run. But the Calcutta Police did not agree to implement this plan.

The BJP on Friday sent a letter to the Kolkata police asking for their consent to the program. But as the answer of the Kolkata police was ‘no’, the Gerua camp got a little depressed. However, it is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. According to Kolkata police sources, the corona ban is still partially enforced in the state. Therefore, the proposal of this ‘marathon’ run by the BJP is not going to be agreed at the moment.

AHF: The G20 Manifesto Calls on Leaders to Vaccinate Our World!

AHF:

Business Wire India

In an urgent appeal for global health solidarity and equitable vaccine access, AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is launching a G20 Manifesto and a ticking clock counting down to the G20 summit in Rome, Italy, this October. The Manifesto outlines seven actions G20 leaders must take before the meeting to Vaccinate Our World and put the world on a path to defeating the pandemic. The full text of the Manifesto and the clock are viewable on the campaign website at www.vaccinateourworld.org/.

This press release features multimedia. View the full release here: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20210730005584/en/

Even though lifesaving vaccines are available in a handful of wealthy countries, the majority of people around the world – particularly in Africa and Asia – simply have no access to them. COVAX, which was supposed to be a vaccine lifeline for lower-income countries, has fallen far short of the need, which is why the G20 must do more to ramp up vaccine production and distribution worldwide. If there is even just one country left unprotected from COVID-19, no country is safe.

“It’s paramount that the G20 immediately begin implementing real actions that can correct the vaccine disparities plaguing most countries,” said Terri Ford, Chief of Global Advocacy and Policy at AHF. “We’re issuing this Manifesto and starting a countdown to the G20 summit in Rome because there is currently no sense of urgency to vaccinate our world. G20 leaders must be the catalyst for ensuring global vaccine equity, and their annual meeting is the ideal venue to make it happen. Anything less would be an injustice and all but guaranteeing millions more preventable deaths.”

The G20 Manifesto lists specific actions that can help get lifesaving vaccines to everyone who needs them. They are as follows:

AHF calls on everyone to join the fight for fair vaccine access by reading and sharing the G20 Manifesto as far and wide as possible, then pledging to protect all humanity at vaccinateourworld.org. Together, we can convince G20 leaders to step up and end this pandemic!

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), the largest global AIDS organization, currently provides medical care and/or services to over 1.5 million clients in 45 countries worldwide in the US, Africa, Latin America/Caribbean, the Asia/Pacific Region and Europe. Netflix’s latest French series ‘Lupin’ is in the news. The series has been a monumental success, both critically and commercially. Now, some overenthusiastic fans are already comparing the character of Lupin with the English super-spy James Bond and calling it the French answer to the English spy. Let’s put these theories to test.

For decades, whenever the world talked about spies in the movies, only a handful of names popped up. While the genre was at its very peak during the 60s and the 70s, in the more recent years, it was deemed as a dying genre. Only James Bond and Sherlock Holmes are still very much active on the television and film screens, entertaining us with their super-smart antics. And now a new contender has arrived and it promises to be equally good, if not more, as a hyper-intelligent and witty mystery-solver. You must have guessed by now where we are going with this! Yes, Netflix’s new French mystery thriller series ‘Lupin’ is what we’re talking about. Featuring Omar Sy as the main protagonist, the series has shown immense promise of becoming a hugely successful franchise. So finally, France seems to be getting close to getting their own James Bond?

Highlights

  • Is Lupin the French reply to James Bond?
  • ‘Lupin’ as the anti-James Bond

The series premiered worldwide on Netflix in 2021 and became an immediate success. It follows the life of a second-generation Senegalese immigrant, Assane Diop, who has set out to exact revenge on the rich French family that caused his father’s demise. However, there is one difference. Unlike James Bond, our protagonist is on the other side of the law. He’s a thief, inspired by the legendary Arsene Lupin.

How Netflix’s ‘Lupin’ became the French James Bond

The series unfolds like a thrilling espionage drama that never falls short on turns and twists in the story to get us hooked to our couches. If you haven’t watched all the episodes in a row, in a single sitting, we salute the insane level of patience you have.

IS ‘LUPIN’ THE FRENCH ANSWER TO JAMES BOND?

Omar Sy, the leading star of the series, sat down with “Deadline” and talked about how he came about getting involved in a Netflix series. He said that the producers wanted to do something with him, in terms of a Netflix series. Initially, the idea for ‘Lupin’ wasn’t even on the cards.

Omar said that he wanted to play someone cool, stylish, and smart, and then James Bond came to his mind. Omar was asked whether he would want to play James Bond. To this question, his response was what he gathers as the main reason behind the inception of ‘Lupin’. He said that it doesn’t matter if he wanted to play James Bond. For that, one needs to be English to understand the quirks of a proper English gentleman. And now we understand, from where ‘Lupin’ comes?

It would have started from there and someone would have suggested what if there was a French James Bond? And what if he was Black? And from there, the snowball effect takes over and here we are, with 10 episodes of the series ‘Lupin’, which is already gaining encouraging reviews from all corners of the world. For James Bond, there is now a proper adversary in Europe, right around the neighbourhood. But the real question is, could ‘Lupin’ ever become as iconic a character as 007 went on to become?

IS LUPIN THE ANTI-HERO FRENCH-SPEAKING VERSION OF JAMES BOND?

The answer to this question cannot be given right away. But the fact that people are loving the idea of giving the protagonist an ‘anti-hero’ treatment, already resonates with the modern world where people don’t really wanna see one-dimensional characters anymore. Not to say, James Bond is a bland character, the dude works for the government and has a licence to kill and he does some pretty despicable things. But ‘Lupin’ is, well, a goddamned thief. Beat the anti-heroism of that.

Additionally, James Bond’s character is as old as the time itself. Let ‘Lupin’ run a few more seasons and a few spin-off films, and then we will be in a pretty comfortable position to compare the two. Until then, watch the first season of ‘Lupin’, it’s delicious and just way too ‘French’, without being too cheesy.

Tell us in the comments if you think that Lupin can take over James Bond someday? Also, tells us your favourite James Bond actor? And why is it Pierce Brosnan?
