For 40 months without a fitness test, passengers were transported to the bus accident at Dharmatala! – News18 Bangla

Kolkata: The bus that crashed at Dorina Crossing was running on the road without fitness. The shocking news is that the bus has been blacklisted in the state government’s register. The last fitness test of this bus number W11B3047 was done on November 8, 2016. The next time was supposed to be fitness on September 6, 2018. However, according to the State Transport Department, there was no fitness test for the bus (Bangla News).

The registration of the bus is registered with the Howrah Regional Transport Office. The bus was purchased in October 2009. The bus was registered on November 16 of the same year. The bus has been running on the road for 13 years. This bus was carrying passengers on the road without doing fitness for about 3 years and 4 months. According to the state transport department, the bus has been blacklisted due to various issues related to news, ownership and registration. The question is how this bus got on the road even after that.

State Transport Minister Firhad Hakim said, “All the buses which do not have fitness certificates will be confiscated.” The Department of Motor Vehicles will do this with the help of the police. ”As per the rules, CF or fitness certificate of the vehicle is taken every two years for the first eight years when a new vehicle hits the road. The lifespan of a bus is 15 years. In the first eight years, 4 times CF test. For the next 6 years, fitness became mandatory every year But in this case, it is alleged that nothing was done.

Representatives of the bus owners’ association have spoken out against this illegal bus. Rahul Chattopadhyay, chairman of the bus-minibus coordination committee, said, “This car is illegal. Many such vehicles are running on the road illegally. But lack of surveillance. This accident happened today so it has been caught. We have repeatedly asked the administration to take action on behalf of the organization. At the same time, at the request of the bus owners, we may have many demands. But when the bus is taking to the road with its passengers, it should be taken off in a completely safe manner.

#Kolkata: How much will be allocated for the rent of Kolkata Metro, before the presentation of the central budget in the administrative and political arena. Earlier, the amount of money allocated could be known at the time of presentation of railway budget. And now the amount can be known only when the Pink Book is published. However, the people of the state are hoping that the amount allocated for East West, Joka-Esplanade, Goriya-Airport Metro project, Noapara-Airport-Barasat project will increase.

In the 2020 budget, Rs 200 crore was allocated for Noapara-Barasat project, Rs 100 crore for Dakshineswar project, Rs 99 crore for Joka-Bibadi Bagh, Rs 1 crore for Central Park-Haldiram and Rs 328 crore for Airport-New Goriya. The budget was tabled before the assembly elections in West Bengal last year, allocating Rs 520 crore for Noapara-Barasat, Rs 1 crore for Dakshineswar, Rs 350 crore for Airport-New Goriya, Rs 350 crore for Joka-Bibadi Bagh and Rs 100 crore for Central Park-Haldiram. The East West Metro project was allocated Rs 905 crore in 2020 and Rs 900 crore in 2021.

The work of the project is completed till Dakshineswar. But everyone is looking at how much is allocated for the rest of the projects. Talking about the progress of the metro project in the country in the last budget speech, Nirmala said that the metro operates 602 kilometers in the country. The government has undertaken the work of constructing another 1017 km metro path. Nirmala also spoke about the importance of ‘Metro Light’ and ‘Metro Neo’ projects to speed up communication between different cities and suburbs. He also said that 26 tier-two cities of the country would be covered under the project. The metro is a small tram on one side of the road like a tram. In addition, in the ‘Metro Neo’ project, multiple light or battery-powered compartments are run simultaneously. Like a trolley bus, it can run without tires without a metro rail line. We will keep an eye on what kind of announcement is made tomorrow.

For months, we have been tracing various sources spilling the details of Doctor Strange 2 reshoots that were put in place to correct plot holes and add missing cameos. The names surfaced included Patrick Steward as Professor X and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). But that is just not it.

The speculations are catching momentum, with netizens spotting two peculiar turnarounds in social media handles of two fan-favourite actors. Reportedly, Sophie Turner who played Jean Grey in Fox verse’s X-men has recently dyed her hairs red. And James McAvoy who played young Professor X was spotted with the bald head too. Both of them last appeared in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Fox’s last Marvel film before it got acquired by Disney.

WebheadSupreme, a Reddit user who unearthed several leaks from 4chan accurately, leaked plot details about Spider-Man NWH and its ending as well. Way more in advance. The leak detective is back at work, posting Multiverse of Madness leaks on Reddit threads. About leaks, 4chan writes,

“You might be getting spoilers for [Doctor Strange 2] mixed up. It’s confirmed that Professor X is in that one, but he definitely doesn’t show up in this Spider-Man. It’s (DS2) also getting reshoots, and fairly extensive ones, at that.”

The victim’s mother lodged an FIR at Pragati Maidan police station. The week before the incident, a minor was abducted and raped from Thakurpukur in the southern suburbs. Police arrested the accused within a few hours. The girl was rescued from the road in a sick condition.

The Birds and Bees Talk Celebrates 50th Statehood Day of Meghalaya and Manipur

The Birds and Bees Talk programme led by Reckitt, celebrated Statehood Day of Meghalaya and Manipur to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of these two North- Eastern States. On this day Manipur, and Meghalaya became full-fledged states under the North Eastern Region (Re-organisation) Act, 1971.

To mark this occasion, Reckitt and Plan India in association with Ya_All hosted a webinar focusing on the relevance and importance of the TBBT programme in the school curriculum in order to work towards a healthier and safer future for adolescents and youth. The webinar moderated by Ya_all was chaired by esteemed guest speaker Kamala Leishangthem, Assistant Director, Directorate of Education Manipur.

Additionally, exchange of dialogues and ideas took place in a panel discussion on the topic ‘Towards the healthier and safer tomorrow’ between opinion leaders – Phida Dkhar, Adolescence counselor, Civil Hospital, Meghalaya, Sadam Hanjabam, Founder & CEO of Ya_All, Mala Lisham, Program Officer, Social Welfare Department of Manipur, Miller, Vice President of Ya_All Football Club.

● You play a very crucial role in the film, what were your notes on your character?

I still remember the brief I got from Rakeysh sir, he said Ananya is a person who lives to see people smile and eventually spreads her vibrant aura to Aziz and becomes a catalyst for him to meet his true potential. I felt at home with Ananya, I think we are too similar so tapping into her turf took only a few notes and more of an instinct. Aziz and Ananya share an amazing, inspiring chemistry that I wanted the audience to connect with. I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I feel to have done this film.

● How was your experience joining the power-duo Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Farhan Akhtar?

To be honest, it was surreal to share the set with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Farhan Akhtar. Working with Rakeysh sir has always been a dream of mine, with Toofaan not only it came true, but it also levitated me as an actor. It was like going through a masterclass with the grandmaster himself. I learnt new techniques and the importance of having a conversation about the scene before rolling and why it is so crucial.

And, Farhan, well it was a delight sharing the screen with him. His ability to own and live the role he takes up really inspired me. He goes all in with it and that really helped me let go of all the inhibitions I had as a performer.

● Toofaan talks about how positive reinforcement has an impact on people, do you have someone like that in your life?

I grew up under the influence of some of the most powerful and fearless women who knew exactly what they wanted and never feared to try. It made me believe that I can achieve any heights that I choose to conquer. They were my constant supporters throughout my career, encouraging me to chase after the roles that were out of my comfort zone. Labour Ministry recognizes “Bhartiya Railway Mall Godam Shramik Union Workers”

After years of diligent efforts and struggle of the Indian Railway Mall Godam Workers’ Union, the Ministry of Labour, Government of India, have considered the demands raised by the Union and ordered to register the Mall Godam workers on the e-shram portal, after which railways mall godam workers across India got the recognition. In view of this occasion, the Indian Railway Mall Godam Workers Union held small meetings with railway mall godam workers and their families at various places across India from 26 January to 28 January considering the Corona guidelines, to solve the small problems that are confronted by them.

Some demands have been prominently marked, which are as follows: –

1) All the Railway Good shed workers need to provide a fixed contract for “Wages”

2) Need to arrange “Wage Receipt” for preventing corruption

3) As per “Digital India” wages should be transferred directly to workers’ account.

4) As per “Ayushman Bharat” all workers of Railway good Shed should have proper basic amenities like drinking water, proper restroom, canteen at railway shed, free medication for workers and their families, accidental insurance, rail pass, Pension benefits and job replacement for their family member in case of any mishappening, free child education, accommodation, proper dress code and to issue proper Identity card.

The Ministry of Labour, Government of India has led our Mall Godam workers to a new direction in life by giving them the identity. Today, the workers of Railway Mall Godown Shramik Union are seeing a new ray of hope because of the efforts made by us. I thank the Ministry of Labour, Government of India and all the people working in our union. Though all our demands are yet to be met, some are being considered by the Ministry, for which we are working with more enthusiasm. We sent a letter of thanks on behalf of our union to the Ministry of Labour, in response to which “Shri D.P.S. Negi ji”, the Chief Labour Commissioner encouraged the work of our union and guided us by giving us his best wishes, so that we continue our efforts in the same way for the benefit of the Mall Godam workers and their families with more energy.”

“What is even a nation without proper education?” was the thought resounding in the minds of everyone at IMI Kolkata when hosting an immensely noteworthy panel discussion on the topic “Rising Importance of Education in Eastern India” on the 29th of January, 2022. It was a delight for the institution as IMI Kolkata got to host one of its very first offline events, as the country is reviving from the pandemic era. With all Covid-19 safety protocols maintained, it was an honour to host the distinguished guests of the day coming from various walks and paths of life – Professor Shri Sougata Roy, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha; Professor Sharmistha Banerjee, Calcutta University; Professor B DaSilva, Vice Principal, St. Xavier’s College; Mr. Tuhin Chatterji, Director, CII; Dr. Debanjan Chakrabarti, Director, British Council (East and North-East India); Mr. Ajaya Kumar Sahoo (Executive Director, Group Corporate HR, RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group) and Professor Mohua Banerjee, Director, IMI Kolkata. The discussion, moderated by Dr. Rituparna Basu, Associate Professor (Marketing), IMI Kolkata, witnessed the interestingly diverse perspectives of the panellists as parts of different sections of the society. While Professor Shri Sougata Roy, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha exceptionally covered the historical significance and transformation of education in Eastern India, starting from how things were, how they are in the current times and what we can expect the educational ecosystem to look like in the coming future, Professor Sharmistha Banerjee, Calcutta University remarked that Eastern India acts as a sponge for cultures across the country. Professor B DaSilva, Vice Principal, St. Xavier’s College went on to add that young people have become more informed and better educational facilities have to Eastern India, evident by the indicators of rankings and a reformed educational system.

Secret Invasion: Nick Fury Returns And How

MCU fans were still recovering from the exciting and intriguing Moon Knight trailer when they realised that it is not the only TV series that will appear on Disney+ in 2022. Recently, we got a new look at Samuel L Jackon aka our very own Nick Fury from Marvel’s Secret Invasion. Another groundbreaking show that will make its grand appearance hopefully this Summer, based on the comic run by the same name, Secret Invasion, where the Skrulls will infiltrate the Earth.

Secret Invasion’s plot

The TV series will be based on the comic of the same name, Secret Invasion and will revolve around the infiltration of Earth by the shape-shifting alien race. In MCU, Skrulls were first seen in Captain Marvel and then in Spider-Man: Far From Home where they imitated Nick Fury and Maria Hill.

The original comic was published in 2008 and revolved around Skrulls who had impersonated several huge MCU faces using their shapeshifting powers. The alien race tried to build their empire and take over the planet.

Kevin Fiege has hinted that the series will be more closely acquainted to MCU than the actual comic book. The plot of Secret Invasion is expected to revolve around the investigations of the cosmic conspiracy by Fury and Talos.

In the MCU, while the multiverse cracks open and we have variants all around Secret Invasion will bring more chaos with our favourite heroes turning out to be secret Skrulls. Fury is dealing with the aftermath of Avengers’ snap but in a cosmic way. Yet the story is set to play out on Earth.

Nick Fury is back with a new look

Also, in the comic the number of characters were huge but in the case of TV series, the cast isn’t huge but impressive. The most familiar face that has been trending on social media these days is Nick Fury.

It’s been a while since the MCU saw Samuel L. Jackson’s, Nick Fury. He was last seen almost three years back in Far Way Home’s credit scene. So, the new TV series will also be bringing back the ex-S.H.I.E.L.D. director.

Jackson will play an eye-patchless Nick Fury and will lead the investigation against the Skrulls. Some photos on social media show Fury’s new look in a beard with a big scar on his face. This new [or old if you prefer] scar increases the excitement of the fans even more as Fury is on some sort of space mission.

The cast includes Emilia Clarke

Also, with Secret Invasion, Marvel continues their fan service and brings another Game Of Thrones alum onboard. GOT star Emilia Clarke will be appearing in the upcoming series and was spotted on the sets in the UK. The fans have always wanted to see Clarke play at least one superhero role and have imagined her as several MCU characters.

So, finally, the Mother of Dragons a.k.a Daenerys Targaryen will be making her debut in the MCU. The fans have already taken to social media with speculations and theories if Emilia will be a human or a Skrull.

Alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Emilia Clarke, the ‘impressive cast’ of Secret Invasion will include Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Olivia Coleman, Christopher McDonald, Carmen Ejogo, Killian Scott, and Kingsley Ben-Adir. Mendelsohn will once again appear as Talos, Smulders will reprise her role as the former Deputy Director of SHIELD, Maria Hill, and Kingsley will be the lead villain.

Theories Are Pouring In

With so many familiar faces the fans have taken to several social media platforms and started sharing pictures from the sets of Secret Invasion. Now, when the show that was announced in 2020 and started filming in September 2021 has come forth, the reign of speculations and theories is just beginning.

The news of the Secret Invasion is another sign that Marvel is not planning to stop the expansion of their Universe anytime soon. With so much on the slate already for 2022, another show added is a treat to the MCU fanatics.

Secret Invasion which is going to be a six-episode long series has no premiere date yet but is expected to premiere in late 2022.

Legacies Season 4: Will Hope Ever Restore Her Humanity Or A New Twist Is Coming?

Now that Josie has left ‘Legacies’, and Hope has transformed into a cruel, deadly, invincible monster, fans wonder what road Hope’s character will take. This is what will happen to Hope’s character.

Now that Josie has officially left the show, we are not sure if Hope will ever regain her humanity. Season 4 of the series has received quite a mixed reaction from the viewers. Since Landon’s death in ‘Legacies’ Season 4 and Hope’s transformation into the Tribrid, the once-sweet series heroine has become a cruel, deadly monster who is nearly invincible. Where fans did welcome this new change in Hope’s timid and innocent persona, it looks like ‘Legacies’ is taking this new character development a little too far, making it almost impossible to keep up with Hope’s evilness.

The plotline of ‘Legacies’

‘Legacies’ is a Julie Plec created American fantasy drama television series that aired on The CW on October 25, 2018. It’s a spin-off of ‘The Originals’, with characters from both that show and its predecessor, ‘The Vampire Diaries’.

Hope Mikaelson is the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall, and she has descended from some of the most powerful vampires, werewolves, and witch families in the world. Hope, 17, joins the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted two years after the events of ‘The Originals’. The school serves as a safe place for supernatural beings to learn to control their abilities and impulses.

What is written in the fate of Hope now?

Everyone is developing in ‘Legacies’ Season 4, except Hope, which is unlikely to change after the departure of series regular Kaylee Bryant. Since the beginning of ‘Legacies’, Bryant has played Josie, Alaric’s more empathic daughter. Her character consistently appealed to Hope’s better side, even as the Tribrid rebuffed her attempts at emotional connection.

With Josie gone from the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted, it’s unlikely that anybody will be able to stop Alaric’s short-tempered daughter Lizzie and Hope from killing one other, making the restoration of Hope’s humanity seem less possible than ever.

Now that the pro-Hope voice has left the show, we don’t see any reason why the group will not launch an all-out assault on the Tribrid.

Whether they are wiped out or Hope is ultimately taken down, the chances of her regaining her humanity seem to be dwindling with each episode. With Josie’s exit from the show, the former ‘Legacies’ heroine may yet return to the side of good, but she has lost one of her most powerful supporters and protectors.
