#Kolkata: BJP state president Sukanta Majumder hinted to go to court against the Kolkata Police. #Kolkata: The customs department seized gold worth around Tk 40 lakh from the Kolkata airport. After seizing around 1,000 grams of gold from four passengers on Friday night, Kolkata airport customs officials seized gold worth around Rs 40 lakh from two more passengers on the same night. According to the customs department, 539.1 grams of 24 carat gold was recovered from a passenger. Silver chains and bangles weighing 228.5 grams were recovered from another person. Immediately confiscate it. The combined market value of gold and silver is around Rs 40 lakhs.

#Kolkata: The weather of the state will start changing in the afternoon. Heavy to very heavy rain warning issued in North Bengal from today. Temperatures will rise in South Bengal, humidity will persist. Scattered heavy rain is likely in various districts of the state on Sunday. Today the sky in Kolkata will be partly cloudy. A chance of a few showers with thunderstorms. The temperature will increase slightly in the next 24 hours. Due to the high relative humidity in the air, Bengalis will suffer from discomfort.
The minimum temperature in Kolkata on Saturday morning was 27.6 degrees Celsius, 1 degree above normal. Yesterday afternoon, the maximum temperature was 34.9 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees above normal. 32.6 mm of rain has fallen in the last 24 hours.

Kolkata: A new route has been created to reduce the cost of transporting goods by water. Vessels on the India-Bangladesh protocol route now. However, this time, the port officials say that the time and cost of transporting goods will be greatly reduced if the vessel goes on the new protocol route. Last March, India and Bangladesh agreed to use Bangladesh’s Chittagong and Mongla ports to increase sea connectivity with the northeastern states. After this four possible routes are selected.
According to that plan, Kolkata Port Authority with the help of a private company will send a vessel on Mongla-Tambil and Mongla-Bibir Bazar route on Saturday. If these two areas are successful, the cost of transportation of goods from Kolkata-Haldia to the states of Northeast India will be greatly reduced.
On the other hand, after 62 long years, transportation of goods from Kolkata to Dibrugarh water route has started. The goods will go through national waterway number two. Earlier, tea and Calcutta were imported and exported through this waterway. This time heavy parts, coal, edible oil, tea will be supplied. It will take 8 days to transport goods through National Waterway No. 2. Goods will be cheaper, claims the Ministry of Shipping.

According to Kolkata port sources, Bhagirathi and Brahmaputra have long been connected by water. The British used to bring tea from Assam to Calcutta by ship. #New Delhi: Pradesh Congress President and Congress Lok Sabha leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury made an explosive complaint against the Trinamool regarding the recovery of huge amount of money in various flats of Arpita Mukhopadhyay, who is close to Partha Chattopadhyay. He alleged that all these corruptions were done with the knowledge of Chief Minister and Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee. “The corruption in the recruitment of teachers started on the stage of celebrating Singur Diwas,” he said. Adhir alleged, “How many teachers were appointed that day when Partha Chatterjee was asked by Mamata Banerjee to announce?” Adhir claims, “Partha Chatterjee announced on that stage that 68,000 jobs have been created.” Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury alleged that the corruption in the appointment of teachers started from that day. “The money recovered so far is only the tip of the iceberg,” he claimed.
Directly pointing the finger at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Adhir Chowdhury said, “Didi does not take a single penny, does not drive, does not eat, does not sleep. My question is, how does Didi’s family run?” Adhir Chowdhury said comparing with his own party, “Because of lack of money, we can’t hold meetings, we can’t plant flags, we can’t campaign like that. And where is the money coming from to bring people in thousands of buses to Trinamool Congress meetings, to feed them biryani?” Is money falling from the sky?”
Taking a shot at the Trinamool, Adhir Chowdhury said, “This party has come to power promising to work for the people. But the Trinamool Congress party is for thieves, by thieves and with thieves.” He alleged that the Trinamool had promised Jan Dardi only to collect votes from the people. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the leader of the ruling party of the state, gave a warning to the ministers, MPs and legislators.
