No celebration is complete without food and drink andthe ‘Jolly Good Fellows’ menu offers an array of delicious small plates and drinks inspired by the soul satisfying dishes from Anglo-Indian homes across the country; familiar yet new to discover flavours that bring with them the proverbial Monkey Bar twist! Begin with the very simple Maka Pao De, bread and butter with a Portuguese twist; staple Anglo-Indian ingredients on a delicious kulcha, with spicy and sour Goan ambot butter. If you are vegetarian – try the Vegetable Pot Pie a hearty comforting dish all rolled into one with curry flavoured assorted vegetables encased in a flaky, golden pie. Or dig into the hearty Panthra’s & Mother-In-Law’s Chutney; a go-to dish for the robust Anglo-Indian community of Kolkata. This delicious composition of Panko Fried Crepes filled with chicken mince is paired with spicy devil’s chutney and has many interpretations across Kolkata homes. Or order Spicy Chicken Roast with pepper potatoes, green beans and a mustard horseradish sauce. Go for the banging Ball Curry and Pao– this Sunday special is a slow-cooked Railway-style mutton meatball curry, served with buttered pao and prawn balchao butter.
