Shooting begins for Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’
According to “The Hollywood Reporter”, the project is being overseen by HBO Max, which is financing the new round of shooting and the completion of the many unfinished scenes. The movie will air as a four-episode event series in 2021.

Actors Ben Affleck (Batman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), and Amber Heard (Mera) have begun shooting for the project. Apart from them, Snyder Cut will see Joe Manganiello back as Deathstroke, the arrival of Ray Porter as the tyrannical cosmic overlord Darkseid, and Harry Lennix as Martian Manhunter. While the Snyder Cut is set to follow the plotline of the 2017 ‘Justice League’, DC fans are excited to see a bunch of new and old characters return on-screen, especially Leto’s Joker.
Zack Snyder reveals details about ‘Justice League’ and the Joker
Recently, director Zack Snyder also revealed a few details surrounding the DC supervillain and what he will be up to in a two-hour special, ‘The Snyder Claus‘. He mentioned how he does not think anything is going to happen right away. But Jim (publisher and Chief Creative Officer for DC Comics) and Snyder often talk quite a bit about it. He mentioned how they talked a lot about doing a book or a comic book down the road just to kind of finish it. Though they have not locked anything yet, if it is a thing that would be interesting to the fandom, they could always ask Jim about it.
Zack Snyder further discussed the possibilities of a post-apocalyptic world that exists after Darkseid has come to Earth and succeeded. He talked about a ragtag team that is left alive and are trying to restore order. That team, according to rumours, is going to include Batman (Ben Affleck), Joker (Jared Leto), Deathstroke (Joe Manganiello), and some more characters. He also talked about talking with Jim Lee about including a story within that story.
He also talked about how inside of that story, they will do the backstory of Joker killing Robin. The Joker would somehow be involved with the stealing of the Motherbox and will use it to create the Treadmill. Snyder explained that, in his mind, it was always going to be that Cyborg was going to do the math and figure it out.
“This is what we’ve got to do to go back in time to warn Bruce correctly. But I always thought that a lot of the conflict that was happening there was Bruce reliving the events of the death of Robin, and what went into that. I was like, ‘That’d be a fun comic book. Even just the death of Robin, reliving that world, just as like a nice, little one-off.’”

Snyder further revealed that Jared Leto’s Joker will be different than his appearance in the 2016 ‘Suicide Squad’. The Snyder Cut will reportedly feature a whole new aesthetic for Jared Leto’s Joker.
While the Snyder Cut is set to follow the plotline of the 2017 ‘Justice League’, DC fans are excited to see a bunch of new and old characters return on-screen, especially Leto’s Joker.
While speaking to Grace Randolph on ‘Beyond the Trailer’, director Zack Snyder spoke about what we can expect from his version of the character. Referring to the additional photography, Snyder shared that the scene was a part of the world that he loved, and he felt like that should be added to this movie. It is the only thing that he has added outside of the original photography. Snyder additionally described the Joker as road-weary in the Snyder Cut. He teased that the water had gone under the proverbial bridge from when we last saw him, which would explain the makeover. Randolph also described Leto’s new style as video game level good. She also felt that when people will see it in that context, they will go nuts.
The much-awaited ‘Justice League’ is expected to release on HBO Max in March. However, given the current situation, will fans see it in theatres or on their TV screens, only time will be able to tell.
