The countdown to season 4 of ‘Stranger Thing’ has officially begun! During an Instagram Live, David Harbour revealed that ‘Stranger Things’ season 4 was scheduled to release in early 2021. but due to the outbreak of coronavirus, production of the show was halted. Now the release date of season 4 of ‘Stranger Things’ is expected to be around spring 2021.
Hopper alive in ‘Stranger Things’
A while back Netflix confirmed that Hopper (David Harbour) is alive! At the end of season 3 of ‘Stranger Things’, Hopper sacrificed himself. During the Starcourt mall battle, Hopper, Joyce, and Murray chose to head underground to turn off the machine that was opening the Upside Down. Dustin managed to get the key in time so that Hopper and Joyce could recover the keys. Before the two could shut the machine, Hopper had to go face to face with Grigori. However, he managed to close his escape path. Hopper then had to sacrifice himself so that Joyce could shut off the machine. Everyone moved on believing that they had lost Hopper for good. But that was not the case.
In the post-credits scene of season 3, the focus was shifted to Russia. It was revealed that they were holding an American citizen in captivity. A teaser of season 4 of ‘Stranger Things’ finally confirmed it to us that the captive is, in fact, Hopper. Hopper is now in Russia and appears to be working alongside prisoners.
Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer confirmed it to “Entertainment Weekly” that the production of ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 had begun and also talked about Hopper’s return.
“We are excited to officially confirm that production on ‘Stranger Things’ 4 is now underway and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper! Although it’s not all good news for our ‘American’; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human and other.”
They also revealed how a new horror is beginning to surface, one that has been long-buried, something that connects everything which they cannot wait for everyone to see.
Hopper vs Eleven in ‘Stranger Things’?
Season 3 of ‘Stranger Things’ deprived Eleven of her own powers. We got to see how the Mind Flayer, with a swarm of Demon Dogs, attacked the Hawkins Lab. He managed to grab and hurt Eleven by her ankle. However, the group escaped him and rushed towards the mall. Eleven soon realised that there was something inside the wound on her ankle that was hurting her. She used her powers and took the creature out of it. While she successfully took it out, she unknowingly lost all her powers.
It would be safe to affirm that the injury will have some unwanted repercussions on Eleven. Earlier, the Mind flayer had caused Will to have visions of the Upside-Down. While her powers may come back, we can expect her to not be the same. Many fan theories have guessed that Eleven would become dangerous and could also be the loophole in the human world.
Earlier, Eleven could be seen as the saviour in most situations. So, now we can expect her to be the one from whom Mike, Will, and Dustin need to be saved. Since now the creators and Netflix have officially declared Hopper’s return. Could there be a possible Eleven vs Hopper on ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4?
