DC has been the home of some brilliant comics for years now. However, seeing the popularity of characters like Superman and Batman, it’s easy to forget the people behind the scenes. The women who have run DC are not only trailblazing fighters and wonder-workers, these characters are hot enough to be anyone’s flavour of the week. As MCU is back in our lives, we should extend a hand to the DC fandom which is slated to bring these hotties to our screens in the next few years.

CATWOMAN
Zoey Kravitz wasn’t anyone’s first choice to play Catwoman. However, now she seems to be perfect for the role. The young actress has wowed people with her acting performance in ‘Big Little Lies‘ and been a constant presence at Beauty Hotlists across the years. She has a noir look that could defeat anyone and carries a charm that is unique to herself.
Walking into the boots of Selena Kyle, played by iconic women like Eartha Kitt and Nichelle Pfeiffer, is no mean feat. However, Selena also carries a story of being betrayed by the world and being forced into crime by societal problems. With her acting chops and gorgeous looks, Catwoman is all set to blaze our screens with Batman. Still unsure? Look at this still from her Instagram, which pulls out her best look.

BATWOMAN
Batwoman has been a much-debated property on the silver screen. When the series debuted in 2018, it was with much fanfare. Part of the hype was owed to Ruby Rose, who was one of the sexiest people to don a superhero costume on TV. However, Ruby Rose’s performance as Kate Kane was widely panned due to her lack of ability to act.
Kate Kane is not only the hottest female in DC Comics, but she is also one of the most nuanced characters in the entire universe. She has long-standing rivalries with some of the greatest villains and is a great detective like her male counterpart.
So, Javicia Leslie, who took up the throne from Ruby Rose, was looked to as one of the better women to don to the cape. And she has proven herself.
A natural fighter (look at her playing with the staff in this video) and a good actress, her works have been setting ‘Batwoman’ apart as one of the best DC properties. With her success, we can expect her to hit the silver screens running.

BLACK CANARY
‘Birds of Prey‘ was something else. In a movie industry fraught with male narratives and women who seem to be driven only by men’s whims, ‘Birds of Prey’ wrote a story that was entirely women-based. Sure, it was a popcorn movie, but, the characters were well-written and everyone got their due screen-time.
One of the best scenes in the movies is when the Birds of Prey actually come together and hit out at the baddies using their myriad weapons. Jurnee Smollett is the person to watch out for in the movie and in other roles.
Turning in a brilliant role in ‘Lovecraft Country’, Smollett has been hitting all the steps right lately. With Black Canary set to appear in more DC films and more strides to take as a hero, Smollett would be serving us more of these looks soon. Black Canary is one of the sexiest women of DC Comics, and the way Smollett is going, the movie screens are next.

CIRCE
HBO Max has been developing a ‘Justice League Dark’ series for a while now with J.J Abrahams. One of the main villains in the series remains Circe. Circe is one of the scariest beings in the DC Universe, an immortal witch who has not only been a thorn at the magic-users side but, has troubled Wonder Woman for long years as well.
Circe is an immortal witch blessed with the powers to manipulate reality and create magical traps that even the most cunning of heroes can’t escape. One of the strongest female superheroes in DC, Circe has been a long-running thorn on the side of our beloved heroes.
As depicted here, not only is Circe scary, she’s one of the hottest women in DC to boot.

POISON IVY
Poison ivy has been long-rumoured to be a part of the future ‘Batman’ movies. Though the actresses are currently not confirmed. Ana De Armas has been rumoured to be in the running. If this fan-made picture is anything to go by, she’d be sizzling on and off the screen in her green-skin costume.
Fan casting aside, Poison Ivy is an intriguing villain with a long history of leaving heroes dumbfounded. She’s a scientist and someone who can achieve impossible things. With Harley being free, there’s no reason to not bring her girlfriend in tow, so we should be on the lookout for Poison Ivy on our screens soon.
DC is all set to ring in the new year with some hot ladies, and these women aren’t afraid to cause some violence in their wake. Wait for these DC bombshells to appear on the silver screen and take it by storm.
