Rumor has it that the Kingpin will arrive at the MCU in Disney+ Hawkeye. This adds to the probability of Daredevil’s return as well.

Hawkeye is a highly anticipated show this year. And with the rumour of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin’s appearance in the show, fans have been taken by a great surprise. The Kingpin was last seen in Netflix’s Daredevil. And his return is a clear sign that the Daredevil’s arrival is imminent.

Daredevil

Netflix cancelled Daredevil in 2018 after running for 3 seasons. Among those, the first and the third had Wilson Fisk AKA Kingpin as Daredevil’s prime foe. Vincent D’Onofrio nailed the role and it is only natural to bring him back to play the character.

Moreover, for a long time now, Charlie Cox has been heavily rumoured to cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home. So it makes sense for Kingpin to arrive too, more so as both Hawkeye and the Spider-Man sequel will release around the same time i.e. late 2021.

So while the debate over whether Marvel’s TV shows are MCU canons or not continues, fans will get a taste of it in some way in the coming time.

How Kingpin Relates to Hawkeye

Hawkeye will see Hailey Atwell’s Kate Bishop take up the mantel of Hawkeye. The show will also be the debut of Maya Lopez AKA Echo (Played by Alaqua Cox), MCU’s first deaf superhero. She has the ability to mimic the fighting techniques of her opponent by watching it just once, a talent similar to Black Widow’s Taskmaster. In the comics, Maya Lopez is the adopted daughter of Wilson Fisk. He adopts her after her real father, a mob enforcer working for Fisk, dies under Fisk’s orders. Matt Murdock also shares a romantic relationship with Lopez which could turn into a possible storyline for a future MCU project.

Charlie Cox was initially intended to appear in Hawkeye as well but couldn’t, due to scheduling conflicts. This makes sense too since the production of the Spider-Man sequel clashed with the filming of Hawkeye, part of them both set in Christmas.

A Rumor until Proven True

Be that as it may, nothing is for sure. MCU is another name for uncertainty, which, however, gives us better than we expect. The rumours around Spider-Man: No Way Home are numerous. But everyone involved in the film has denied the appearances of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in it. So, even if it is true, Marvel will never disclose it, perhaps until the very movie comes to the theatres. The same is the case with Kingpin. Recently, actor Vincent D’Onofrio liked a tweet that mentioned his appearance in Hawkeye. But this can be another of Marvel’s stunts, just like the “trailer” of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

A New Kingpin

Marvel doesn’t necessarily have to bring back Kingpin from Netflix’s Daredevil but introduce a whole new Kingpin, thanks to Loki for opening the multiverse. The character does have a history with Spider-Man in the comics too and so does Daredevil.  So an MCU connection is “inevitable.”

Meanwhile, Hawkeye hasn’t yet received a release date but only that it will come out in late 2021. Spider-Man: No Way Home will release on December 17, 2021.

The French business tycoon Bernard Arnault has once again reclaimed the title of the richest man in the world, thanks to a drastic single day drop in Jeff Bezos’ net worth. Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos recorded a $13.9 billion drop in his net worth last week after Amazon stock plummeted by 7%.

This happened a year after Bezos made history by becoming the first human ever to own $200 billion in net worth. Amazon registered massive profits during the COVID-19 led pandemic that spiked its founder’s personal wealth to eye watering $204.6 billion in August 2020.

The last time Jeff Bezos registered a minor fallout in his wealth was when he set out for space tourism by his own Blue Origin. However, this drop in net worth is different not only because it is worth $13 billion but also because it has resulted due to underwhelming performance of his foundational company Amazon.

Why did Jeff Bezos loose billions in his net worth?

The reason behind the massive drop in the wealth of Blue Origin’s Founder was the less than expected performance of Amazon in the second quarter.

The overall profits of the American behemoth surpassed the forecast, however, the sales revenue felt short of expectations. This has further led to underwhelming sales revenue predictions for the third quarter, therefore, resulting in 7% drop in Amazon stocks.

The situations for the world’s largest ecommerce company were so contrasting a year back that Amazon had to urgently speed up its recruitment in 2020 to meet the drastic increase in online shopping demand. The company registered a jaw dropping increase of 40% in its revenue in May 2020.

However, with the easing of lockdown due to widespread vaccination and phasing out of pandemic, old ways are restoring swiftly. The same led to unprecedented drop in the sales revenue figures.

Bernard Arnault- the richest man once again

Bernard Arnault, the French businessman making fortune out of luxury market, is once again the richest man alive.

With a current net worth of $198.5 billion, Arnault added nearly $100 billion to his net worth during the global pandemic. While the luxury good market suffered a setback during the COVID-19 outbreak, luxury French tycoon surprisingly added impressive figures to his wealth.

Bernard Arnault owns Louis Vuitton, Moet & Chandon, Sephora, and Tiffany & CO. under its luxury conglomerate named LVMH.

LVMH’s market capitalization amounts to more than $400 billion. Arnault holds 47% stakes in the company.

However, Arnault is not the only billionaire who bagged jaw dropping wealth during the pandemic. Out of the total 2,755 billionaires in the world, 86% recorded increase in their wealth since last year.

The combined addition to the billionaires’ net worth on Earth since 2020 amounts to $5 trillion.

How many syllabi will there be in 2022? Parliament issues guidelines – News18 Bangla

#Kolkata: Next year’s Higher Secondary Examination is being taken on top of the proposed 2021 West Bengal HS Syllabus. This was indicated by the Higher Education Education Parliament issuing guidelines on Friday. On this day, a directive has been issued by the Acting Secretary of the Parliament of Higher Education. According to the guidelines, the Parliament of Higher Education has decided that the annual syllabus for next year and the 2022 Higher Secondary Examination (2022 HS Exam) will be taken in view of the reduced syllabus and the type of changed questions. However, in that case, the syllabus of the subjects for which the written test will be 60 marks or less will not be omitted, the Parliament said in its guidelines.

The guidelines issued by the Parliament for Higher Education state how much the subject-wise syllabus has been reduced and notifications for the type of question paper will already be available on the Parliament’s website. The higher education parliament has stated in the guidelines that the notifications that were there from December 9 to March 25 last year are in force with the reduction of the subject-based syllabus. In the relevant high school examination of 2021, it was said to reduce the syllabus by 40%. Some of the teachers think that the Parliament has given guidelines to reduce the same syllabus in the 2022 Higher Secondary Examination.

Especially due to the Corona situation, the higher secondary examination could not be taken this year. Instead, the marksheet is given to the students according to the number obtained in the secondary, the number obtained in the annual examination of class XI and the number of practical or project work of the higher secondary. But already the students of class XI have been promoted to higher secondary. In that case, the high school students were waiting to see how much of the syllabus would be taken. It is believed that the syllabus of the Higher Secondary Examination became clear to the students after the guidelines were issued by the Higher Education Parliament on Friday.

Gerald Butler, apparently in response to Johnson’s lawsuit, sued the producer of “Olympus Has Fallen,” claiming he owed him at least $ 10 million due to the film’s worldwide box office success.

 Butler alleged in his lawsuit that Nu Image, Millennium Media, and Padre Nuestro Productions were the production companies behind the “Fallen” franchise, and they had no intention of paying him the proceeds of the first issue of “Olympus has Fallen .”, Released in 2013.

Scarlett Johansson Case

 Johnson sued Disney for breaching a contract signed by both parties, which stipulates that Johnson’s superhero movie “Black Widow” will be released exclusively in theaters.
