We have indeed come a long way with innovations and more effective tools and devices but in the process, work for people has gone down. The flip side of modernisation.

Viral Video: We developed tools according to our needs at different places and purposes. Over time, these tools have undergone phenomenal changes, innovations, and upgrades. For example, the manual saw made way for the motor-propelled chainsaw, shovels, and spades are hardly in use as powerful machines have replaced them. these new tools have not only increased the efficiency of work but also save a lot of time. One such tool is used for removing tree stumps and the surrounding roots so that the ground is clear and there is no chance of the plant growing again.
The viral video we are sharing with you shows a remote-controlled device that cleanly shreds the entire tree stump and surrounding roots with its powerful blade. It is shown in timelapse in a fast-forward mode. The video is shared by @HowThingsWork_ with the caption: “Tree stump removal. This Remote controlled device removes the full tree stump & surrounding roots with its powerful blade.” The video has been watched over 4.5 lakh times.

A Texas man allegedly admitted to authorities that he murdered and mutilated his wife, according to a news release published by the Waller County Sheriff’s Office.
Jared James Dicus was arrested and charged with first degree murder on Wednesday, according to online court records.
The Waller County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a possible death at a southeast Texas home about an hour away from Houston around 4:35 p.m. Wednesday.
Deputies found the body of a woman in a “small residential structure” located behind the home. The body had been mutilated, according to the sheriff’s office. NBC affiliate KPRC 2 reported that portions of her body had been dismembered and the home was covered in blood.
The victim was identified by Waller County Judge Trey Duhon and her family as 21-year-old Anggy Diaz.
Dicus, the husband of the deceased woman, was detained on scene and later allegedly confessed to authorities that he had murdered his wife.
The suspect is being held on $500,000 bond, according to online court records. There are no attorneys listed on record for him at this time.
In a Facebook post, Judge Duhon recalled marrying the young couple in Oct. 2022.
“During my short time with them, they were a very nice young couple,” he wrote. “As with many of you, I’m greatly saddened and shocked by the news of this tragic event and my prayers are with all of their families.”
Duhon said he took down a post announcing Diaz and Dicus’ marriage that contained a picture of him with the couple “primarily due to the insensitive nature of some comments” made on the post.
A GoFundMe started by Diaz’s uncle, Irvan Orellana, to help with funeral expenses remembers the victim as a “daughter, sister, niece, and a friend.”
“Our family is shattered by the loss of such a young life,” Orellana wrote. “She was the light to our family and community. Always with a smile, and cheerful personality. The absence of her from our lives will be felt forever.”
The Waller County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office are investigating the murder.
The district attorney’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Game 7 of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Commissioner’s Cup Finals on Sunday at Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan will not just be about coming away with the victory and a championship trophy before a gigantic crowd.
For Barangay Ginebra, getting an eighth championship in 16 conferences in the decider set at 5:45 p.m. could be the hardest and most fulfilling for coach Tim Cone, resident import Justin Brownlee and the rest of the team.
Facing a formidable team from Hong Kong with the initial goal of competing in the East Asia Super League before taking part in the midseason tournament, Ginebra is determined to pull the biggest of all title victories in recent times.
“That makes this really, really special,” Cone said before the Finals began last Christmas. “Kind of a crowning of all the other ones if we can do it.”
For Bay Area, it will take a crack at being the second foreign team joining the American-bred Nicholas Stoodley in the 1980 Invitational to bag a PBA title.
But the winner-take-all affair is also one final chance for coach Brian Goorjian and the Dragons to leave a lasting impression among Filipino fans, some of whom have been booing the guest squad throughout the series.
“You still have a chance to earn respect on how you compete and how you play,” said Goorjian midway into the series.
Unexpected results
Ginebra and Bay Area have traded victories—with some unexpected results—to set up the 29th Game 7 in the league’s colorful history.
The Gin Kings won the odd-numbered games, including the third chapter when they came back from 14 down in the third quarter and seven in the final four minutes to stun the Dragons, 89-82.
Bay Area emerged victorious in even-numbered matches, highlighted by a Game 4 triumph despite playing without injured import Andrew Nicholson and a hard-fought Game 6 when Myles Powell was activated with the Dragons on the brink.
Ginebra fans who will make the long trip to the venue want nothing more than to see their heroes deliver a victory while also displaying the “Never Say Die” spirit that the franchise has been traditionally known for.
But Goorjian also declared that the Dragons also have “NSD” in their DNA.
“It’s what the Filipino pride themselves on, but we wanna match that,” Goorjian said. “We wanna match that, and they certainly have shown it. I’m proud of the fact that we haven’t gone anywhere in this.
“We’ve taken the punches and kept in there throwing them back. It’s a hell of a series,” he added.
Unbeaten
Brownlee will lead Ginebra’s bid to stay unbeaten with him in the Finals but needs the supporting cast to make up for the shooting woes that contributed to the Game 6 defeat. That includes Scottie Thompson, Stanley Pringle and LA Tenorio, who have come through for some portions of the series.
Christian Standhardinger, perhaps the unsung hero of Ginebra in the Finals with his defense and timely scoring, and an improved Japeth Aguilar are also out to step up, especially in the paint against Bay Area’s Duncan Reid and 7-foot-5 Liu Chuanxing.
Powell will be the main man for Bay Area as he braces for defensive challenges once more from either Thompson, Nards Pinto or any of Cone’s gambit. Point guard Glen Yang’s playmaking will also be key to make sure the Dragons are set up nicely.
Hayden Blankley and Kobey Lam will look to produce for the Dragons as they did for most of the series, while Zhu Songwei is also eyeing to help the Dragons prevail, if he can stay within the system and lessen his turnovers.

AKCB aka ‘a Kid called BEAST’ offers an immersive experience of physical and digital realities merged together, providing a culture-rich lifestyle
CAPE CORAL, FL, Jan. 14, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — a KID called BEAST (AKCB), an augmented-reality digital collectible project, hosted on the Ethereum blockchain with an aim to bridge physical and digital culture through art, fashion, music, and technology, is all set to enter the NFT market, with minting starting on January 15, 2023, at 06 PM UTC.
Web3 is bare across the corner and, in many aspects, already impacts today’s modern world. NFTs are critical components of this new web ecosystem. Several record-breaking sales in recent years have cemented NFTs as the new black in the art world. These secure, authenticated digital certificates enable the acquisition of virtual art, opening up new revenue streams for artists. AKCB intends to revolutionize the Web3 and metaverse world with its culture-rich utilities and ecosystem.
AKCB – An Overview of the Ecosystem
With the goal to bridge the gap between the physical and digital worlds by offering a human-utility solution, AKCB promotes art and experiences by combining world-class art with augmented reality, disseminated throughout multiple social media and social community platforms.
Entering the BEAST Mode
The BEAST aka ‘a Kid called BEAST’ is an actual representation of our childhood version, a point in time where we were the true version of ourselves. The version of ourselves that did not have filters or concerns about what we want.
The mask depicts an altered personality that we use in digital playgrounds, a self-expression of who we wish to be on that particular day.
The project will feature 20 factions, each consisting of 500 BEASTS, which will work as individual neighborhoods, dubbed as “BEASTHOODS“, in addition to the main community.
During the minting process, users will need to select personality traits. An algorithm will then determine a series of base traits for the BEAST and place the BEAST in its respective BEASTHOOD. This creates a level of personal attachment and builds a strong community involvement for holders.
Upon minting, every beast is assigned to one of twenty BEASTHOODS. These BEASTHOODS will act as the internal community within the AKCB ecosystem. There will be competitions, giveaways and opportunities run between BEASTHOODS, providing further benefits to holders who will compete with the other BEASTHOODS for the added benefits. BEASTHOODS will have their own private chat to coordinate as well as an internal DAO structure to manage leadership, BEASTLIST charities, treasuries and more.
Find out which BeastHood suits you the best to select on the mint date by doing the personality quiz: https://aKIDcalledBEAST.com/quiz.
BEAST Vision and Plan
AKCB is stacked with utility. Since day one, there will be lots to play with.
BeastSwap will be the project’s very own crypto DeFi swap that provides support for 7 chains and a lot of optimizations for swapping tokens quickly and easily.
BeastStudio will house the augmented reality 3D models and profile picture customizations, with definite access to IP rights to holders. For real-world utility, there is already a lot in the works for merch, toys, accessories, creative consumables, music and publicity stunts.
AKCB’s brand values are straight to the point and guide the project in making decisions to build a formidable brand. AKCB gets excited about the collaboration and building something new, using all the knowledge and skills to innovate beyond the initial expectations.
Jaime Alvarez, the project’s primary artist/co-founder, has worked on art directly for Nike, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, Meta, and Sony. The rest of the team is doxxed and includes experienced Web3 wizards, entrepreneurs and creatives.
Moreover, the project is currently in the early stages of establishing partnerships and integrating with various brands and influential opinion leaders. With over 75k followers on Twitter and over 45k followers on Discord, a KID called BEAST (AKCB) has been entirely a word-of-mouth project that will reach new heights once its key objectives are accomplished.
About the Project – a Kid called BEAST (AKCB)
AKCB is a community-oriented 3D AR digital collectible project that creates traditional lifestyles or design product experiences that were once only limited to physical objects. AKCB connects digital experiences to physical ones, with emerging technologies, cultivating a community that appreciates the frontier of culture.

Baltimore, Maryland’s newly elected top prosecutor dismissed all charges against a Black man who stood trial four times in a 2015 killing despite his repeated claims that he was innocent and set up by police.
Keith Davis Jr. walked free Friday after Baltimore City State’s Attorney Ivan J. Bates announced his decision.
In a news release, Bates said he requested Deputy State’s Attorney Thomas Donnelly to review the case involving the killing of Kevin Jones, a security guard who was fatally shot on June 7, 2015, at the Pimlico Race Course track. Police accused Davis of committing the crime and claimed his gun matched the casings found at the crime scene.

Bates said Donnelly reviewed all “pertinent information, analyzed the law, and concluded that we should not continue this prosecution.”
He went on to say that the dismissal of charges against Davis was “the result of a thorough review of his prosecution thus far, as well as thoughtful consideration of what it means to seek justice in Baltimore City.”
Davis was initially charged in 2015 for an alleged robbery. Hours after Jones was shot, an unlicensed cab driver flagged down police and said someone had tried to rob him at gunpoint. Police identified Davis as the suspect and chased him into a mechanic’s garage.
Supporters of Davis said he was “cornered by police in a West Baltimore garage” and shot at 44 times, according to the website Free Keith Davis Jr. He was struck three times and survived, the site said.

Police said Davis had placed a gun on top of a refrigerator in the garage. Davis denied this and accused officers of planting the weapon after they shot him.
Davis went on trial in 2016 for armed robbery and was found not guilty of all charges except illegal possession of a handgun.
About a week later, prosecutors charged Davis in the killing of Jones, citing ballistics testing. The website denied Davis’ involvement in the killing and said the gun police claimed he used “was never fired.”
The first murder trial in 2017 ended in a hung jury, according to the website. The second trial, also in 2017, returned a guilty verdict that was later overturned at sentencing by a judge after the judge learned that prosecutors introduced their key witness, “a professional jailhouse informant,” without informing the court about the witness’ background, the website stated.
Davis’ third murder trial in 2018 also ended in a hung jury, and his fourth in 2020 ended in a guilty verdict that was again overturned “due to the judge refusing to allow the appropriate and required pre-trial questioning requested by the defense,” according to the website.
Bates in his news release accused former State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, who repeatedly brought Davis’ case to trial, of “prosecutorial missteps” in “her pursuit of a conviction at all costs.”
“I fully recognize the pain and anguish that repeated unsuccessful prosecutions have caused the victim’s family, and I truly sympathize with them. Still, as State’s Attorney, I have a duty to ensure justice for all, not just the victim but also the accused,” he said.
Mosby was defeated in a Democratic primary last year while facing federal perjury charges. She did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment but told The Associated Press that the case “has always been about the pursuit of justice for Kevin Jones and his family.”
Mosby declined to comment further.
Jones’ grandmother, Earlene Neals, told The Associated Press that she was heartbroken and blindsided by Bates’ decision.
“Our family is destroyed,” she said. “Kevin is getting no justice whatsoever — none.”
The Maryland Office of the Public Defender, which represented Davis, said it was “extremely grateful” that Davis was freed.
“After four trials for a crime he did not commit, all guilty verdicts were overturned for police, prosecutor, and even court error,” said Deborah Katz Levi, the office’s director of special litigation, and counsel for Davis.
“We are grateful that the State’s Attorney’s Office understood that this case was replete with so many past mistakes and evidentiary issues, which all amounted to a denial of Mr. Davis’s right to Due Process and a loss of confidence in the criminal justice system.”
The office said Davis has asked for privacy “as he enjoys his long-awaited reunion with his wife and children in private.”
The Baltimore Police Department did not respond to a request for comment.
