LIVE | DC vs GT, IPL 2023 Score: What a shot by Miller. Mukesh Kumar bangs short, perfect for a man in form and Miller deposits it into the crowd. Two balls later, same treatment, same place. A boundary to follow. Probably the game changing over of the game. GT 137/4 (16)

Chennai: It was a night to remember for the fans present at the Chepauk on Monday night as the Super Kings edged the Super Giants by 12 runs in an edge-of-the-seat thriller. But what happened after the match stole the show? Former Chennai players Suresh Raina and Robin Uthappa were present at the venue and there was a grand reunion after the match. The CSK franchise shared a picture where there are five CSK legends. Apart from Dhoni, Raina, and Uthappa, you also see Ambati Rayudu and Ravindra Jadeja in the frame.
The picture has a caption that read, “No captions. Just live the picture!”
After the match, the former India captain talked about his side conceding as many as 18 extras during the 2nd innings.
“Terrific high-scoring game. All of us were thinking how the wicket would be. It was the perfect first game that could happen. I thought it would be much slower. But it was a wicket where you could score runs. I was quite surprised with the wicket. But we’ll have to see if we can produce a wicket like this game after game,” Dhoni said at the post-match presentation.
Dhoni took a jibe at his bowlers and warned them with his sense of humour that if they don’t improve, then they should find another captain as he will be off. CSK during LSG’s run-chase conceded 3 no-balls, 13 wides and 2 leg-byes.
“Fast bowling we need to slightly improve. Need to bowl according to the conditions. What is important is to keep an eye as to what the opposition bowlers are doing. One more thing is they’ll have to bowl no no-balls or extra wides. Or they’ll have to play under a new captain. It will be my second warning and then I’ll be off. Only reason we’ve scored those runs is if the surface is nice,” Dhoni warned.

Kolkata: In what would come as a big setback for the Kolkata Knight Riders, star all-rounder Shakib-al-Hasan has pulled out of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023 on Monday. The Bangladesh captain has opted out due to international commitments and personal reasons. Bangladesh would be playing a one-off Test against Ireland starting April 4. They will also play an ODI series against the Irish side.
The KKR cricketer as per ESPNCricinfo informed the franchise about his decision on Sunday night itself. The franchise will now set out hunting his replacement – that will not be easy because of the quality and experience he brings to the table.
It is understood that the Bangladesh Cricket Board did not permit NOCs to Shakib and Litton Das. The Bangladeshi star was picked up by the franchise for Rs 1.5 crore. In his entire IPL career where he has played for KKR and SRH, Shakib Al Hasan has scored 793 runs and picked up 63 wickets.
Earlier, KKR captain Shreyas Iyer opted out of the IPL due to an injury. His return remains uncertain. In his absence, Nitish Rana is leading the side. The Knights did not get off to the best of starts as they lost their IPL 2023 opener against Punjab Kings.

Bangalore: It was the perfect homecoming for RCB at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium on Sunday after they beat MI by eight wickets to win their IPL 2023 opener and get their campaign off to a winning start. Chasing 172 to win, Kohli stepped it up as he hit a match-winning 82* off 49 balls. His belligerent knock featured five sixes and six boundaries. While Kohli’s would give a lot of belief in the dressing room, fans would hope the premier batter and RCB can continue their form. In fact, Kohli’s good show with the bat also ensured RCB win by a huge margin. At the presentation, Kohli sounded positive and admitted that the side could not have asked for a better start.
“I thought it was a phenomenal win, a homecoming after 4 years. Couldn’t have asked for a better game. We bowled well for the first 17 overs but then credit to their batters especially Tilak who batted really well. It was a very comprehensive win and we wanted to win with balls to spare as it will benefit the NRR,” Kohli said at the post-match presentation.
“Take one game at a time and try to be a balanced side which we are and we would look to execute our plans as we did tonight,” he added.
RCB have made it to the playoffs on eight occasions but are yet to win their maiden title. The Bangalore-based franchise would be hoping they can change things this year and finally get their hands on the silverware.
