With rumours of ‘Teen Wolf’ Season 7 returning in the near future, Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien may both reprise their roles as Scott and Stiles!
Teen supernatural romance has been a staple in the fiction genre for decades now. In 2011 ‘Criminal Minds’ creator Jeff Davis developed ‘Teen Wolf’, a supernatural teen drama for MTV. Not only did the series become one of the most popular shows on the channel, but it also attracted critical acclaim and found success through streaming giants.

Romance, drama, supernatural creatures combined with action and horror are all key elements to creating a successful drama series. Like ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘True Blood’, ‘Teen Wolf’ too adapted these elements but unlike them, presented comic relief through its characters.
‘Teen Wolf’ followed the journey of Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), an ordinary high school student who lives an extraordinary life after being bitten by an Alpha. Scott enjoys the positive aspects of his transition: increased strength, heightened senses and agility, but struggles with his animalistic instincts.
He soon discovers how his hometown of Beacon Hills is being invaded by supernatural creatures and he must fight them. He plays saviour along with his best friend Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) who is the most hilarious character on the show! The series premiered for six seasons and some cast members recently expressed their inclination towards a new season.
It’s about time for ‘Teen Wolf’ Season 7
‘Teen Wolf’ which was loosely based on the 1985 film of the same name premiered in 2011 and excited fans with its fast-paced storytelling. The series has a dedicated fan base primarily because of its young, talented, and attractive cast. Instead of going into the seventh season, it concluded in 2017 with a strange open-ending which surprised viewers.
Whether the reason for the series going off-air was its low-ratings is unknown, but after three years, it’s time for ‘Teen Wolf’ Season 7! In the age of reboots where everything from ‘Gossip Girl’ to ‘True Blood’ is receiving a modern-day revival, it’s only fair for ‘Teen Wolf’ to have a new season.
‘Teen Wolf’ was bound to receive love from the very first episode itself. Led by a group of teenagers who were forced to become saviours of their Californian town, the show was teenage entertainment at its finest. The cast members including lead actor Tyler Posey believe it’s about time for new episodes of the show to appear on television.
Tyler Posey wants new ‘Teen Wolf’ episodes
The handsome actor played Beacon Hills teenager Scott McCall, a humble, caring, and well-intentioned teen. He might not be the sharpest kid in the room, but his friend Stiles Stilinski is. Together, their chemistry and camaraderie and their on-screen friendship was loved by viewers.
Scott McCall tried to make the best out of his werewolf curse, and his character made Posey a teen icon back then. The sixth season ended the series abruptly and no one had time to say goodbye to the show. That’s perhaps why Tyler Posey wants new ‘Teen Wolf’ episodes.
In March last year, Tyler Posey made his plea for ‘Teen Wolf’ Season 7 in a tweet to MTV. He wrote:
“I think it’s time to bring teen wolf back for new episodes. First Jersey shore family vacation. Now teen wolf high school reunion. I’m ready. And 28 so it’s an appropriate age.”
His colleagues agreed wholeheartedly.
We have one question though: Does this mean that Scott McCall will be an adult werewolf in the new season? His teenage days are clearly over!

Tyler Posey and the show’s fans aren’t the only ones on board with the idea of ‘Teen Wolf’ Season 7. Cody Christian, the actor who plays part-Werewolf and part-Coyote Theo Raeken shared he’d love to rejoin the series in any capacity. Colton Haynes, whose character was Scott’s high school nemesis in the first two seasons of the series is also excited by the possibility.
Earlier, fans believed that MTV hadn’t responded to a fully-fledged renewal or reunion yet because they couldn’t go on without O’Brien. In October last year, the actor teased ‘Teen Wolf’ Season 7 in an interview with “Variety”. He shared his eagerness to make a comeback, “I would jump at the chance to do any kind of thing“. O’Brien also hinted that there is a future for ‘Teen Wolf’. “We’ll come back together for something at some point.”
Tyler Posey and Dylan O’Brien shared a legendary friendship on-screen and off-screen and we can’t wait to see them together once again!
