‘Barobabu’, a biopic on Natyacharya Shishirkumar Bhaduri, is the dream project of director Reshmi Mitra. She had completed the research work of the film five years ago and had been waiting since then for the project to start.
Finally the movie is going to hit the floor on mid-October, which is going to be produced by Suman Bhattacharya and presented by Danaos Production Pvt. Ltd. The formal announcement of the commencement of the movie was done recently by Reshmi and her team at JW Marriott.
‘Barobabu’ stars Paran Bandopadhyay as Rabindranath Tagore, Biswanath Basu as Probodh Adhikary, Bhashwar Chatterjee as Taradas Bhaduri, Srila Majumdar as the mother of Shishirkumar Bhaduri and Payel Sarkar as Kankabati. The name of the actors playing the characters of Shishirkumar Bhaduri and Prabha will be announced later.
Bickram Ghosh is scoring the music of this grandeurous movie. The screenplay and the dialogues have been taken care of by Ujjal Chattopadhyay. The brilliant introductory publicity creative of the film by Gautam Barat needs a special mention.
