Better Call Saul Season 6 will cross paths with Breaking Bad and have an “upsetting” and “devastating” ending. The show will not just bring Bryan Lee Cranston (Walter White) and Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman) to the screen but also connect the two shows in an unexpected way. Furthermore, considering the last scenes of season 5, the show’s finale is expected to have a devastating ending.
Walter White and Jesse Pinkman will return
The last season of any popular TV series often plays an incredibly decisive factor. Even if the show has been doing great, a finale can just turn the tables, like Game of Thrones. No matter how much fans admired GOT or still admire it, the last season didn’t match up to their expectations and they are badly hurt.
Similarly, the final season of Better Call Saul has premiered and all the fanatics are viewing it closely. The show is expected to finally bring back the lead characters from Breaking Bad, Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in some capacity.
The show already has a lot of faces from Breaking Bad and now the addition of Bryan Lee Cranston and Aaron Paul would just take it to another level. Also, when the lead actors would finally appear in the sixth season, there are chances of a possible crossover.
Better Call Saul will have an “upsetting” ending
All that being said, the stakes are always higher when it is the final season. Also, keeping in mind the season finale of Breaking Bad and how the Better Call Saul season 5 ended, expecting a happy and satisfactory ending to the story won’t be a smart move.
Something similar was said by the show’s co-creator, Peter Gould in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. When he was asked about his feelings on the final episodes of Better Call Saul, he asked if he is allowed to use a bad word.
Post that Gould explained how the season finale would be and considering where things are right now after the fifth season, there is going to be no happy ending. The ending could be “devastating” and “upsetting” too.
“Whipsaw, rug-pulling, there’s even some gaslighting. It’s also devastating. Upsetting.”
The show’s finale will have a lot of war
Furthermore, the show’s co-creator went on to explain how Lalo Salamanca has gone rogue now, after what happened in the season 5 finale episode. He would be all blood-thirsty after Gus Fring tried to get him killed with a great contribution from Nacho Varga.
“Lalo is on the warpath, he’s been very thoughtful in his approach and there’s a new dimension to Lalo now. There’s rage, there’s emotional involvement in what he’s doing. It’s no longer a chess game to this guy. Once Lalo goes to war, there’s a lot of repercussions for a lot of characters.”
Considering all the war that will come and other things that are revealed by the creators, the show seems to be moving towards a lot of action and “gaslighting.” The third episode of Better Call Saul season 6 will release on 25th April 2022
