Kevin James is aware of ‘The King of Queens’ reboot without him, and yet he is calm – that’s some pretty good flex of “being calm”, eh?
‘The King of Queens’, starring Kevin James and Leah Remini, is a top-rated American sitcom that aired from September 21, 1998 to May 14, 2007. Kevin James accidentally spills reboot plans of ‘The King of Queens’
Recently, in an interview with Access Hollywood’s Sibley Scoles, Kevin James spoke about the ‘The King of Queens’ reboot for season 10. While recalling the impact the show had on his life, Kevin said,
“It changed my life immeasurably because it was such a great time for me and so exciting at that time. It was a hit show at that time”.
He further acknowledged how the show is doing even better than it did at the time it was aired. He added that it is the people you work with who make the project great for him, especially people like Jerry and Leah.
When questioned about the revival, this was what Kevin said:
“We are talking right now about doing like a table-read thing. It is an odd thing because we have just lost Jerry and he is that show. He was the glue that really made that show. So, we are talking about doing something though maybe for charity and getting together again so that we all can kinda read and just enjoy each other again.”
You can find the interview video on the official channel of Access Hollywood.

But the question is whether Kevin is on the reboot series or not?
Wait, what? Kevin will no longer be a part of the show?
Then why is he still a part of the discussions? Rumors have it that ‘The King of Queens’ is coming back to CBS but without Kevin James. Maybe CBS is planning to give the show a complete overhaul with a new story that might focus on Doug’s grown-up children.
If these rumors are to be believed, Kevin is definitely not returning for his role as Doug Heffernan in the reboot version. As of now, nothing is confirmed. We have to wait for an official confirmation from CBS.
Interestingly, ‘The King of Queens’ is a fierce competitor of popular sitcoms such as ‘Friends’, ‘Seinfeld’, and more. And fans are desperately waiting for a new season of their favorite show. Let’s see if the creators of the show pay any heed to the petitions!
…and here we thought ‘Kevin Can Wait’ was ‘The King of Queens’ remake!
Unless you are living under the rock, you must have wondered, “Is ‘Kevin Can Wait’ just a reboot of ‘The King of Queens’?” But, it is not! The return of Leah Remini in the second season of ‘Kevin Can Wait’ further gave a totally different plot line which made the viewers gasp in awe.
However, time and again, Kevin James has remarked that ‘Kevin Can Wait’ has nothing to do with ‘The King of Queens’. In an interview with “Entertainment Weekly”, Kevin made clear that this show is totally different from ‘The King of Queens’.
While you wait for ‘The King of Queens’ reboot for season 10, you can get comfy in your PJs and enjoy the re-run of the series with ‘The King of Queens’ box set. How amazing would it be to do a series marathon of your favorite comedy show! Are you excited for the reboot? Do you think it will be the same without Kevin James in it?
